What is Facebook?
Facebook? I believe and we all know it’s not new. And in today’s era, everyone is aware of Facebook which is one of the dominant social media platforms. However, a lot has changed since Facebook emerged on February 4, 2004. World’s largest social media has changed over the last 10 years. Facebook has 1.18 billion daily active users. It is so dominant that average users spend at least 30 minutes per day with facebook properties. Pages are the gateway for businesses to market among the users. A Facebook page is a public presence similar to a personal profile, allows the fan to like, share the business, brand, cause or organization. Fans receive content updates from a page on their Newsfeed, a business can raise brand awareness, track progress, accumulate audience insights.
Profile– It’s a personal page created for individual use and can be accessed.
Page – A business page or profile where clients can find posts and business information
Insights– This is you are analytics tool, where you can analyze all the post and page analytics.
Reach – The number of visitors who saw your post includes organic and paid reach
Engagement– The number of likes, comments, share received
Post– Sharing content on your facebook page.
Link– A post that includes a link.
Newsfeed– Once you login to Facebook, the first thing you see. This includes new posts, videos.
Timeline– The updates on your personal profile or page.
Fans– People who like your business page
Promoted or Boost post– Pay to promote to more people on facebook so that it can reach more audience.
Display ads– Ads which are shown on the right side of the corner.
How to create an account or profile in facebook
Facebook profile is a personal account on Facebook. You can connect with your friends, family, and colleagues across the globe. It is a faster way to connect to people on the social platform. On the other hand, a Facebook PAGE is a business account helps to promote business.
Let’s discuss how to create a facebook account
Step 1: Facebook Signup
Go to facebook.com and click on create a page in the top right corner. Below are the business types options which include business or brand and community or public figure. Depending on the respective category a box will open enter your details like page name and category. Category are basically subtypes within the larger business category When you type in the field, you will see a list of potential category and then continue.
Step 2: Add a picture
Next, upload a profile picture for your facebook page. Make sure the photos align with the business and is identifiable to the business. For big brand include your logo. The famous personality you can include your photos. And if you have your local business you can include a photo of signature offerings. Once you have chosen a great picture click on “upload profile picture”.
Cover photo: Now its time to select a cover image, image place a very important role on your Facebook business page. The image should provide an attraction as it conveys your brand personality. It will display in the form of pixels. The image must be at least 400 pixels wide and 150 tall. Once you have chosen the right image upload the cover photo.
Step 3: Welcome to your page and explore your page.
Now your page is all set. Explore the page through new features. Go through the page and see everything. It takes a few seconds to explore.
Step 4: Add a short description.
This is a good chance to showcase your business and tell customers more about your business. You can mention a brief description and no need to explain in detail since the limit will be with 155 characters. Once done “Save”.
Step 5: Create your username
It is easy for people to find your page in search when it has a unique username. Pages with username can create custom URLs that let people quickly visit and message. Go to “About” on the left sidebar and create a username. Click create a username for your page to set up your vanity URL. Click create a username when you are done. A box with pop up showing you the links people can use t connect your business on facebook and facebook messenger.
Step 6: Complete about your section
You are almost there, it is important to fill out all the fields in your Facebook’s page about page right from start. Customer will be seeing the about page to know more about your product. Fill all the basic information like open hours, enter business details, contact information, about your business Depending on the type of your business you can add more details. Click on edit story on the right side to add a more detailed description of your business. When you are finished, click Save changes.
Step 7: Create your first post
Customers usually look for valuable content. Create some useful content and include photos or videos if needed you can include a link, tag friends, tag business specific keywords. Click on the share. Your Facebook business page now represents a robust online presence that will make potential customers.
Step 8: Interact and Engage
Wohoo…now you can invite family and friends to like the page. Upload pictures, videos, you can comment, like and shares the post.

Add a CTA(call to action) button
People visit your page, instantly you cannot provide all the required details they need right on your page. But you can provide them with a way to get it by setting up a call to action(CTA) button. Send message button is added by default in Facebook so that visitors can contact through facebook messengers. This option can also be changed to learn more about business, shop, or book an appointment.
You can go ahead and customize your CTA by hovering around on the send message button on the page and click on the edit button and select from the categories you are interested and click Next. Depending on the type of button you may be asked to add some additional options. When all the required details are entered you can click on finish and the CTA button is ready to go live.
Add a pinned post.
Visitors can see all the important information when posted on Facebook. A promotion which your visitors shouldn’t miss. An interesting or top content you want to show on Facebook to all your visitors. Post content or if you want an existing post to pin to the top of the page. Click on the three dots on the top right of the post, then click Pin to top of the page. Once it is pinned you will see thumbtack icon on the top right corner.
Like, comment, share other pages.
Facebook provides an option of like, comment and shares the post. Since it is a social network channel. It’s a good idea to use your page to build a community for your business.

How to upload contact for an invitation
If you are admin of the page then follow the steps – To import your contacts, go to the Admin panel, and click Build Audience to access the drop-down menu next, click Invite Email contacts link. A dialog box for Invite email contact will open. You can either upload a contact file or have a facebook search. When you click the Invite Contacts link, need to type your email address and password, and then click Find Contact button.
